G-STIC 2020 conference

For the first time in its history, the G-STIC conference was organized as an online event by VITO and its international partners. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the sessions were live-streamed from a Dome studio in Brussels.

3.700 participants and 200 experts from 140 countries joined this fourth conference of the Global Sustainable Technology & Innovation Community (G-STIC). During the sessions, world-renowned speakers and sustainability thought leaders explored how to leverage technology transformation opportunities beyond the current pandemic.

Domes Europe was commissioned by VITO to build an indoor 19 meter diameter Dome structure. The Dome was built inside the monumentally beautiful Gare Maritime in Brussels. Because of this indoor location a cover was not necessary. The Dome Tent was then turned into a full blown studio suited for live-streaming the event.

Domes Europe is proud to have been part of this project carrying such an important dialogue.
